Common in variety of forested habitats and open or fragmented landscapes within forested zones at low to moderate elevations and into alpine parkland. Found in hardwood, coniferous, and mixed forests, and in residential and agricultural areas in forested landscapes. Breeds throughout our four-county area with exception of arid steppe zone in eastern Kittitas County.
